Lüken used to have big problems with his project planning. Paperwork and project planning simply don't go well together. He had to drive to the construction sites himself to collect important information and had several employees on the phone every day who didn't know what the current status was.
And then he came across clockin by chance. The implementation almost happens automatically: "It was actually all self-explanatory, adding the whole thing." If he has any questions, he picks up the phone and calls customer service, who answers him immediately. "But there weren't actually many questions, to be honest," he adds. Clockin started with two people, but it grew with the company. There are now eight people at the location.

Today, Lüken begins every working day by going over the upcoming projects in the clockin office center. His employees come, take their tablet and use it to document all the important data. This means that project information, travel and working times are recorded. Everything that happens on the construction site and needs to be recorded.
In the evening, he sits down and checks the hours again to see if everyone has clocked in correctly, because “software also needs to be maintained.” In the end, it only takes him two minutes every day. This way, he keeps an overview of his projects and the times his employees are working and knows every week how many hours were spent on the construction site. This is also transparent for his customers and his employees.
“I can't just leave the system running and look at it once a month. I do that continuously. Every day I take two minutes in the evening, compare, look at it once. Then the day is complete and everything is neatly stored in the system.”

The digital project file also saves him a huge amount of time. All the important information for his people is stored in the app directly on site at the construction site. There are then no more questions on site. This saves him several hours of organizational effort.
The buildings are also planned digitally. "I think that nowadays people still run around with a sheet of paper, a piece of chalk on the building site, marking things, writing them down by hand." He shakes his head. "Of course you still have a little book in which you write down a lot of things. But 90% has to be digital. That's very important today. Otherwise you'll end up being left behind." That's why all the important information is stored in the app. His employees have a tablet on the construction site, open the project file and have everything digitally available. There are no more questions, no more calls. That saves him a lot of working time.
